Former Head of The FBI Says FBI Facilitated 1993 WTC Bombing
Yup, that old Dugg has really gone off the deep end. Believing all those craaaazy conspiracies. I don't know where he gets all these crazy ideas.

Maybe it's because your idea of a reputable news source is the zionist controlled msm propaganda machine. If they do accidentally tell the truth it's either only to further some agenda or because it was truly an accident.

And somehow I now owe the fbi an apology for admitting they facilitated the 1993 WTC attack and killed 6 Americans?
I don't understand your reasoning there, Elmo. It's sorta like the irony when you jam the Who on your page despite the fact that they hate everything you stand for and their music was nothing but a protest against all you promote. You can spin anything!

hey this is the same guy who brought false charges of ritualistic child abuse against people at the Mcmartin Preschool in California.

sure hold them accountable for not doing as much as they should have but to say that it was a conspiracay....well I'm just way way underwhelmed
The article says that they were trying to stop the bombing and in case you don't realize it the informant in the article was upset with the FBI, the article implies that his statements could be nothing more than sour grapes
but to say that the FBI 'facilitated' it is the characterization that you and your conspiracy brothers use to spin it into some kind of weird circular reasoning
and is an insult to hard working men and women of the FBI
such hubris on your part
the so called head of the FBI you mentioned was not the head of the FBI but an agent in Southern Cal who wasn't even active in 1993

The transcripts do not make clear the extent to which Federal authorities knew that there was a plan to bomb the World Trade Center, merely that they knew that a bombing of some sort was being discussed.

Transcripts of tapes made secretly by an informant, Emad A. Salem, quote him as saying he warned the Government that a bomb was being built. But the transcripts do not make clear the extent to which the Federal authorities knew that the target was the World Trade Center.

do you know if he recorded every contact he had with the FBI?
why did he continue to record his contacts with the bombers if the FBI was going to blow up the building? why are the bombers on tape with this guy planning the bombing? If the FBI was responsible for blowing up the building why would he continue to work for them? If it's the money then why do you consider him credible? It it's not the money then why would you characterize this supposed 'facilitation' and not the tapes he recorded with the actual bombers?

Emad Salem, a former Egyptian army officer, was getting paid $500 a week for his work with the FBI, but he was a private citizen agreeing to work as a pure intelligence asset. This meant that his agreement with the FBI stipulated that he would never have to testify in open court or wear a wire. He was recruited by an agent named Nancy Floyd. She prepped him and worked with him through the first few months of his assignment. Salem stopped working for the FBI when his new handler, agent John Anticev, tried to go back on his original agreement and force him to wear a wire and testify in open court. Salem, afraid for his family's lives once the plot's mastermind, Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, discovered he was a mole, refused. Salem stopped attending Rahman's mosque in Brooklyn, where he'd made contact with the cell, in July 1992, seven months before the bombing. Ramzi Yousef was then brought to New York from Pakistan in September 2002 to replace Salem, who Rahman thought would be building the bomb. Without Salem in the inner circle, the FBI had no details about when the bombing would take place or where the bomb was being put together.
After the bombing, Salem contacted the FBI and told them that bombing co-conspirator Mahmoud Abouhalima had fled to Egypt, leading to his capture. Soon after, Salem informed that the FBI that another bombing plot was being planned by Rahman. Salem was paid a lump sum of $1.5 million to re-infiltrate the cell. Salem tape recorded all of his negotiations with the FBI since he no longer trusted them after their earlier treatment of him and agent Floyd. Thanks to Salem's information, Rahman and his co-conspirators were arrested before the attacks could occur. Salem was the key witness for the prosecution's case and he and his family have been in the Witness Protection Program ever since.
The FBI has never been implicated in the attack. The incompetence of upper management is certainly a huge issue in the case but that's an entirely different story.
If it was a conspiracy by the FBI why was Salem afraid of Ramzi instead of the FBI?
So they went through all that trouble in 1993 just to throw a one-eyed cleric in jail and not go to war with anyone?
The 93 bombers bought the compressed hydrogen at AGL Welding just down street from me in Clifton NJ. The bombers were brought there for a perp walk and identified by employees.
So to summarize, a group that was being funded, and only just at that, from various Iranian and Egyptian sources started to build a bomb. One of their group became an FBI informant and was paid to supervise the progress and report what was happening. A plan was hatched to raid the apartment and substitute the explosives the group had with fake stuff, but after it leaked to the group it was cancelled, and the informant was deemed unreliable, so was cut off and since he wasn't being paid any longer stopped informing. Subsequently the bomb was finished in a unknown location, and set off at the WTC. 6 months after having cut him off, and being proven horribly wrong (through hindsight) the FBI rehired the informant, but three weeks in they were still paying silly buggers with his funding which started to place the new investigation he was informing for into jeopardy. As a result he taped the conversations and made it clear that he was worried that this operation was going the same way as the last, resulting in the FBI finally paying up and giving him money that when all totalled up with what he'd already been paid came to 1.5 million dollars.

So what we have here is a total cock-up by the FBI because they didn't trust an informant and decided that he was just ripping them off and passing on bogus info, then being proven wrong in the worst possible way. Apart from their being a bunch of incompetent ignoramuses that should have been fired, how exactly did the FBI actually help the bombers other then not believing Salem that they were a real threat?
